I had a group of friends over for a holiday soiree and ornament exchange tonight. As we were all talking about our obsession with Facebook, I felt the need to add my own commentary on updating one's status on Facebook. Remember that old adage. . .think before you speak? I missed that opportunity tonight as I blurted out that I enjoyed reading status updates that were entertaining, funny, exciting. . .you know. . .not updates such as "so and so is eating oatmeal." I think my exact words were, "that is boring." As one of my friends at the table said, "that was my update." Not my proudest moment.
